Cut to the chase

Save to RawSugar

Cut to the chase is a really nice idiom. It means get to the point or make a long story short. I like it because it is kind of picturesque. Don't nibble on your thoughts, cut to the chase (a nicer way of saying don't waste my time with marketing fluff, get to the point already).
It's origin is from the movies where they would want to move from a dramatic scene to something with more action to it, such as a chase scene.
