Stormy weather...
As the east coast battles yet another stormy week, I cannot sit and wonder what is the connection ?
New York and MA have been having oodles and oodles of snow, such that NY was almost dsconnected completely.
That reminds me that 3 years ago, just about these dates it was, my sister and I took the train to NY. It was a 4.5 hour train ride (which is not bad at all) and were supposed to meet up with some friends. It sure was a fun weekend....
Until it was time to go home. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a wild snow storm took over the city. Our train ride back was supposed to leave around 13:00. As time grew near, the snow became heavier and heavier, making the access to taxis and other rides impossible. Everyone was stuck at home, the train tracks were full of snow. We had to wait for 4 hours, on the train, until it finally began moving. There were various stops on the way because of the bad weather. We were heading in the same direction as the storm.
We finally made it home after 10pm.
It was sure an experience.
